We believe in building relationships

Our audits help you build a better business for your people and the planet. We speak to humans, like humans and make the process of being audited as straightforward and jargon-free as possible from the first phone call. Together, we can create a more sustainable and equitable future whilst meeting your ISO Certification needs.

Our certification process

Our team will answer any questions you have and help you start your certification journey. We'll then send you a simple online application form to better understand your certification needs. With our redesigned Certification process, just by submitting we have built in impact, and will plant a tree just for completing our application form!

Once we understand your organisation, we are required by JAS-ANZ to use the International Accreditation Mandatory Document 5 to determine audit duration (number of audit days). Once we have that number based on your FTE and business complexity, we will then send through a transparent and competitive quote.

No hidden fees or surprises.

Prior to this stage, our office team will have a chat with you and ask some general questions to understand if you have some of the mandatory documentation in place. If you have absolutely nothing, we will tell you upfront that you may need to work on your management system before we book in Stage 1.

Stage 1 is a Documentation Compliance check where we will review your current documentation against the requirements of the standard and verify if you meet the requirements.

We redesigned our Certification process to make all Stage 1 Audits completed via Teams or Zoom to save of emissions, and travel expenses for you and the world.

For everyday we audit, we plant a tree to say thank you for choosing us!

If there are any issues, we will raise them as area of concern for you to address prior to Stage 2.

Area of Concern - An area of concern is an issue that the auditor identifies as potentially problematic during the Stage 2 audit. It suggests that there may be gaps or weaknesses in the management system that could lead to nonconformities if not addressed before the Stage 2 audit.

Stage 2 is where we assess your conformity against your management system and the ISO standards. We will conduct site visits, workshop walk arounds and review your documents and records for compliance with the standards.

For our Stage 2 audits and where travel is required, we cover the cost to offset the travel, not passing it onto you but covering it ourselves. For everyday we audit, we plant a tree to say thank you for choosing us!

If we identify any gaps or issues, they will be raised as:

Major Nonconformity
- A major nonconformity is a significant issue that shows the organisation is not meeting an essential requirement of the standard. This could mean that a crucial part of the management system is missing, not implemented correctly, or not effective.

Minor Nonconformity - A minor nonconformity is a less serious issue that shows a part of the management system isn't fully conforming to the standard, but it doesn't severely affect the overall effectiveness of the system.

Observation - An observation is a note made by our the auditor about a potential area for improvement or a situation that could lead to a nonconformity in the future if not addressed.

Improvement Opportunity - An improvement opportunity is a suggestion from our auditor on how the organisation can enhance its  management system. It's not a requirement, but a recommendation for how the company might go beyond the basic standards to improve efficiency, effectiveness, or overall quality.

Following the Stage 2 audit, if you have not received any major nonconformities then your auditor will complete their audit report and send it for Certification Decision.

If Major Nonconformities are raised, then you will be provided a timeframe in which you can provide corrective action plans and evidence to close out the Major Nonconformities, prior to the audit report and recommendation being sent for Certification Decision.

Next, the Certification Oceania Certification Decision maker will provide an outcome and send through your Certification outcome.

You will then be certified for the next three (3) years, and our team will send out a Hardcopy and PDF Certificate(s), your Audit Programme and Certification Oceania Certified*, JAS-ANZ* and IAF Logos* for you to proudly display on your website, products and social media.

*The use of the Certification Oceania, JAS-ANZ and IAF Logos are provided with a document to provide guidance for the correct use of these logos in line with your Certification Agreement*

Surveillance Audits
For the next two (2) years, our team will come out to undertake your Surveillance Audits, where we audit sections of the standard in line with your audit programme.

Recertification Audit
Following two (2) Surveillance Audits, you will then have a Recertification Audit, where we will review all the requirements of the standards and re-issue your certificate to reflect a new certification cycle of three (3) years.
